The Esan Noble Friends Club concluded the year 2022 on a high note with its annual End-of-Year Celebration held at the prestigious Oriental Hotel, Lagos. Over 300 members from Nigeria, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada attended the night of fellowship, cultural display, and recognition.
The event, themed “Stronger Together: Celebrating Unity in Diversity,” showcased the club’s remarkable growth and impact throughout 2022. Members participated physically and virtually from various locations worldwide.
Highlights of the evening included:
- Traditional Esan cultural performances by the renowned Edo State Cultural Troupe
- Recognition awards for outstanding members and volunteers
- Presentation of the 2022 Impact Report showing investment in community projects
- Special tribute to late members Anthony Ibhawoh and Tony Egbadon
- Fundraising auction for the 2023 scholarship program
- Virtual connections allow diaspora members to participate in real-time
In his keynote address, the Pioneer President, Enahoro Akhile, reflected on the club’s journey: “From our humble beginning with five members to this gathering of hundreds, we’ve proven that unity of purpose transcends geographical boundaries.”
